About Chris Baillie Driving Instructor based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset

I have been teaching people to drive since 2000 and have been a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists since 1997. Throughout that time, I have taught over 1500 people to drive, people from all walks of life and with differing abilities. I have an exemplary local reputation and operate to the highest of professional standards. Having come from a previous career in Road Transport, I believe being prompt and reliable to be of the utmost importance, and my tuition vehicle is always maintained to a high standard and updated regularly.

Experience

I believe I am now one of the most experienced Driving Instructors in the area. I would like to think I still carry out my work with the same enthusiasm as I did when I started, but with the benefit of that experience. I keep up to date with latest training developments, regularly attending courses. I am happy to teach people from all backgrounds and nationalities. I have spent my whole working life dealing with people from different countries, so limited English skills need not cause a barrier. I also have extensive experience dealing with students with Dyslexia and Autism. Indeed, I am more than happy to work with people with disabilities, so long as they feel they can manage a manual car.

Pass Rate

Whilst I am very proud of my pass rate (which is normally between 70% & 80%), I am more than happy to work with students who find driving difficult. I cannot promise everyone will pass first time, although that is always my intention. However, I’m more than happy to work with students who may need to take more than one test before passing.

Area Covered

I prefer to concentrate on the Shepton Mallet area but also cover surrounding villages, such as Evercreech, Cranmore, Doulting, Oakhill, Croscombe & Pilton.
